Dave Dornfeld

Founder, President & Owner - Master Electrician - CLMC, LC

As the founder and President of Timberlyn, Dave started this journey more than 40 years ago. His experience and expertise evolved into a multi-office operation that serves some of the nation’s largest companies. Dave continues to raise the bar within the lighting industry with several designations, expecting nothing less than consistent results and competitive spirits.

Joy Dornfeld

Corporate Officer & Owner

As the heart of Timberlyn, Joy supports all roles within the company. Joy’s bachelor’s degree in Business Education has aided in Timberlyn’s growth and ensures the highest safety and compliance standards, risk management, and competitive benefits for our employees.

Christopher L. Slover

Vice President - Partner - CSLT, NABCEP-PVA, OSHA Certified

Chris has more than a decade of business operations and strategic planning experience. Starting in 2006 as a green hand, Chris has held many roles on his path to partner and Vice President. Chris is NABCEP certified and has been integral to leading our Solar Installation division’s management and development.

William Ornelas

Director of Operations & Owner - CALT, OSHA 30

William began his journey with Timberlyn in 2012 as a Field Lighting Technician. William has worked on a diverse range of re-lamp and LED upgrades before taking a leadership role. William’s current role is Director of Operations. William has worked to streamline processes and utilize controls to obtain consistency.

Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.

Senior Project Manager, CALT

Nick began his journey with Timberlyn in 2011 as a lighting technician and now fills our leading project manager role. His focus has always been to ensure client satisfaction as he leads his crews in the field. Through daily communication with our teams, Nick ensures that all projects are completed with top-notch results.

Alexis M. Jodts

Accounts Payable

Alexis started with Timberlyn at the beginning of 2020 as their bookkeeper.  She is responsible for processing payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.  Alexis graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 2013.  Before coming to Timberlyn, she worked in real estate appraising and volunteered in non-profit bookkeeping. 

Alexis looks forward to growing in the position while helping Timberlyn grow.

 

The IEC apprenticeship program is designed to train individuals in the electrical trade through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience through a DOL certified program. Apprentices complete a multi-year program that covers topics ranging from including electrical theory, safety practices, code compliance, and more. Timberlyn utilizes this program to equip apprentices with the skills needed for a successful career in electrical work.

Daniel Engstrom

Field Development Manager (Lighting & Solar) - CALT, OSHA certified

Dan is a seasoned veteran with 20 years of experience. He has been an integral part of Timberlyn’s field employees’ development and continues to raise the bar daily. His expertise has come from having his boots on the ground, and his drive is like nothing you have ever seen before. Dan thrives on ensuring every project he touches, whether big or small, gets the attention it deserves.

Gerald Johnson

Project Manager, CALT

Gerald started with Timberlyn in 2011 as a Lighting Technician. He quickly achieved professional growth and became a senior crew leader, which has provided him with a vast knowledge of lighting installations. Furthering his career to Project Manager in 2022, Gerald now leads and supports field crews to ensure streamlined installations for our customers.

 

Kimberly Frank

Office Assistant

Kim has been with Timberlyn for over a decade and has worked on numerous projects over the years.  She has maintained being a part of our Kohl’s team since the project’s conception in 2005.  Kim is the face and voice here at Timberlyn. You’ll see and hear from her first as she greets all visitors, sends correspondence and invoices, orders materials, and supports all Timberlyn projects.

Brooke Cox

Administrative Assistant

Brooke started at Timberlyn in August 2023 as an administrative assistant. She is responsible for assisting with recruitment by identifying candidates, performing checks, and scheduling interviews while maintaining communication throughout the process. Brooke’s previous professional experience has led her to excel in this role. She looks forward to growing within this position while helping Timberlyn grow.
