I have a 3,000 SQ FT house. How many solar panels do I need?

Your system size is based on many factors:

    • Average annual electric usage (yearly kWh’s) of the site
    • The efficiency of your solar panels
    • The peak sun hours in your location
    • The orientation of your solar array
    • The available space to available to install your solar array.

Timberlyn and our engineering company (Simpleray) will take all of these elements into consideration when designing your solar array. Our team will develop the most cost-effective solution possible. I will attach a Simple Solar Calculator to the email that I hope we can use somewhere. It will be labeled Simple Solar Calculator.

What is net metering and how does it apply to me?

  1. Net metering is a solar incentive that allows you to store energy in the electric grid.
  2. When your solar panels produce more electricity than you need, that energy is sent to the grid in exchange for credits on your electric bill.
  3. This gives you the ability to offset your bill by using the credits in the months that your solar array may not be producing all of the electricity you need.
  4. Most customers take advantage of these credits in the winter months.
